What is a screw pile?
Screw pile is a steel pipe with a diameter from 57 to 108 mm with a pointed end and blades of a certain configuration. Free entry of a screw pile to a required depth is provided by powerful blades that convert turning torque into linear force during dipping. Piles are initially protected from corrosion by a special alkaline primer.
